ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

That "pen" was another 'kin disgraceful decision for them. These refs need investigating - bent as a nine bob note. I'd love to see that scumbag Salah get carried off on a stretcher with a real injury. Disgusting cheat.

Same. The amount of their fans writing into bbc today to say everyone else was bitter was laughable. Everyone hates them, nobody is bitter about leaders, people get bitter about winners.

Noone will be more pleased if City do win it and I hope you're right.

Liverpool will have so many advantages now with no fixture congestion and ample preparation time while City unfortunately will be missing weekends because of other competitions and possibly falling even further behind. The mounting games in hand will be difficult to fit in and the fixture congestion and playing one game after another towards the end of the season will give scant preparation time and leave them constantly playing catch-up.

If City can pull it off then noone will deserve it more.

Well mate I think you've convinced yourself that they've won it due to as you say Citys hectic schedule.

Lots of togger to play and imo they'll get beat a few more times and City will win it with a couple of games to spare.

They did get bailed out by the numerous decisions given in their favour though.

1 on 1 with the keeper in the first half, pulled back for a debatable offside they showed us once.

Murray in behind the defence in the 2nd half...yep, another debatable offside given & we’ll just have the 1 quick look.

Knockheart brings the ball down on the chest and in on goal, we’ll call that handball.

How about VVD elbow in the penalty box on injury time...the one they never thought fit to show us again.

That’s not to mention every debatable 50/50, corner, thrown in and tackle going in there favour.

That’s as bias a referee as I’ve seen that today and that takes some doing.

If we were told in years to come he was refereeing under instructions to keep Liverpool at the stop and ensure we get a title race instead of what City did last year, no one would be surprised.
To be fair, VVD should have had a penalty in the first half when one of the Brighton defenders just grabbed his arm and wouldn’t let him run at one of their corners.

With the US Goverment shutdown in full swing and Brexit negotiations totally stalling the world is a very uncertain place. The media have taken advantage of all of this and used it to drive their conspiracy to make a football team from a medium sized city in the UK win the Premier League. Have I got that right?

I don’t think so, it’s more a case of the television companies protecting their “product” and doing everything they can to ensure that last season is not repeated and the league is not over with in March.

The premier league is the cash cow....it’s not if what happened last year continues to happen.

Sadly lads, their style of football means they'll always get pens. Playing the high press puts opposition under the cosh and they'll make stupid mistakes/decisions

Just like Utd in 90s & 00s.

First on MOTD in a game that even the managers described as boring.

Makes a total mockery of the producers claiming the running order was based on entertainment value
I instantly thought that myself as TalkSport said it was an awful game all afternoon, although it's not surprising to see that the media are in full-swing behind them.

Without City playing, it was time for their beloved club to receive all the limelight. First shot on target in the fiftieth minute or so? Doesn't matter!

What a diseased corporation the BBC are.
*Logs in the BBC sport in anticipation of the latest sycophantic article concerning kloop this , Salah that, or astrological charts buried with the dead sea scrolls preempting 2019 being their year - written of course by an award winning totally impartal football journo who pines for the good old 70s and 80s when football teams knew their place and back passes to the goalkeeper we're a sign of good character.

To be fair, we weren’t blessed with enthralling Football in any of the games yesterday.

Cardiff and Huddersfield arguably had the most riding on it for both sets of fans but my mate is a Town fan and said it was like watching paint dry.

What style's this? The 'we'd of outpassed City if the grass wasn't too long' style that only they talk of or the long ball and diving in the area style the rest of us see?

Is the correct answer.

I knew when City won against them that it was probably just going to draw this out unbearably.

The problem though is City not Liverpool. They are not 100% focussed on this title race since Liverpool made it a race. They'll slip up again for sure and Liverpool want it more than they do.

When they beat Liverpool I felt that the joy from City's players was to simply say "there, we played you twice, took 4 points and should have taken all 6 points and we're the better team and you know it". Just a point being made.
Spot on Dave
