ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I do. If this was last season's City I'd crown them champions now even if they were 5 points behind.

It'll be tight - and I'm hoping for a big De Bruyne surge in the remaining games - but I see City's superstars eyeing up the CL more than the PL.
By the looks of Peps team selections, he is going full throttle on every competition they’re in. It may be there downfall but IMO the correct way to go about it. No under strength teams regardless who they’re facing

Watford made the mistake of trying to attack the rs and kill off the game early, and lost sight of the fact that you need to defend the 0-0 first and then take your opportunity when and if it comes. As it was they went 2-0 down to easily defendable goals, which left that lot to pick them off at leisure. VVD scoring 2? Impossible

That’s the only kind of win they can get at the moment. If they’ve not blown a team away within half an hour then they run out of ideas. If Silva plays it sensible on sunday there really is a result waiting to be got here.

Absolutely agree, their press is relentless for 20 mins and more often than not they get their lead, which then plays into their hands.

I’m not saying we should defend but the first 20-30 mins are crucial not to concede against these, the press becomes less and less. I feel we have to score first to get anything out the game. I do believe it’s our time to finally nail these [Poor language removed]!! Every other defeat we’ve had will be worth it if an Everton victory becomes significant come what may

My dough is still very much on City.

There is a scene in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid where Butch and The Kid have been running ahead of a posse....really kicking on and not sparing the horses.

They reach the top of a hill and stop for a breather..

Looking back, way down the hill they see the posse is still coming and it unnerves them.

Because no matter what they do, no matter how hard they ride, they just can’t shake the posse off.

And so it is with the RS.

Here we are....their next game is in March and they have only lost one league game all season.

They surely must have more points now than they have ever had in at this stage is a 38 game season.

They should be miles clear......in fact they were miles clear at the turn of the year.

Yet when they stop to rest the horses, they see the posse is right on their tail......one point behind.

They cannot shake City off :)
