Sadly too many to remember over the last 30 years. Easier to name the memorable players.

The one that springs to mind is Peter Dean. Had to google him. Apparently played 4 games from the bench. I just remember him warming up in front of us at Old Trafford. Looked like a pub team player.

You`re right, he was a very good player.

If I remember rightly, we were that skint, pretty much everyone was for sale at that time.

He only played 12 games for us and considering he was supposed to be finished when he signed for us, he went onto play for another four years after leaving us.

His lad is currently at Sunderland in the U21`s and looks to be a real prospect - plays up front.

yep the sale was all about the money and not about performance, got him as a free agent sold for 750k

think from jan onwards we did the typical moyes run in, only behind chelsea and united on points won since then and looked a very good outfit, only to sell pienaar and bring in Jermaine Beckford
