A young lad whos in his firat season in this league and is also our top scorer is getting ripped apart.

Coincidentally by the same people who seem to defend McNeil to the hilt in here... strange that

….and this is the problem with people who have an absolute fixed view, they watch football with blinkers on

McNeil’s part in the Leeds goal was worthy of utmost criticism but it doesn’t discount some decent performances from him, even this season. If certain other players had replicated that touch and control leading up to the 2nd goal then posters on here would be praising how good it was.

He did fine today, I dare say the position is now his to lose so let’s hope he continues.

Strange to say other people have blinkers on. Seeing as you're literally just going off the fact it was his shot that we scored from (and ill be honest, looking back i think pope should of done better with it).

The lad is actually garbage. He just oasses it out for a throw in for no reason twice in that match ffs and he just left o'Brien on his own for the last 10 minute he was on the pitch.

See all of the crosses coming in from our right? Why you think that was?

This fan base is mental.

Dyche, literally taking us down. Was treated like he was the secon coming.

Moyes who has us in the fight for Europe. Constantly called for him to he sacked.

Barry, young lad ,first season in the prem and our too goal scorer despite being in a team that doesnt create chances. Crucified every game on here.

McNeil who is at best a championship level player, is treated like hes our best player... madness

Lovely touch to set up the shot for the second goal. Don’t think he should be starting for us after his general dip in form, but the lad doesn’t pick himself so fair play to him for contributing to a very good win.

Barry is technically fairly awful. Would struggle in the championship.

McNeil is very good technically. There's a reason he's been playing in the premier league since he was 19.

His weaknesses are huge and for all to see though.

Are we really in here lauding a premier league player making a good bit of control and that’s worthy of the place being his from now on?

The fellas a joke, just like the Villa goal it’s a pass back of a shot which the keepers fluffed his lines on.

He offers nothing. He won’t be here next season, the club doesn’t want him and he doesn’t want to be here, He should under no circumstances be getting any minutes for us going forward, we have youngsters on the bench who are the future of the club who should be getting the minutes.

Basically, this fourm has alot of people who cant accept being wrong about something.

So they decided barry was crap after two games so now hes crap no matter what. They decided moyes wasn't good enough when wolves knocked us out of the cup, so now he has to go no matter what.

And theyve decided McNeil was boss ages ago so now he's boss no matter what. Hence the love in for a player whos grand total of input in the game was a decent first touch, a tame shot and playing 1-2 with the advertisements boards twice

How is barry technically awful?

McNeil has only played that many games because he played for dyche for the whole of his career.

Barry has been a success in every league hes played in and hes doing well in this league so far.

McNeil has struggled to get out of the relegation zone in his entire career.

Way too slow and far too easily bullied .

Done well for Beto's goal but lets be realistic the rest of the game he offered nothing. Lets not dress it up as it was anything different.

He did well in fairness to him.

I was wrong in my assessment of his inclusion prior to the game today.

Yep. Think some are getting a bit sentimental because he got messed about on deadline day. Credit for the involvement in the Beto goal but largely anonymous.
