Spending £100 million under a boss walking away in 5 months just comes across as crazy, and will clearly have huge negative impact on your summer spend.

Great transfer window to be shut of this fella. He could create chances and score a goal now and again, but he didn`t half look half bothered most of the time. Feel a bit sorry for Palace paying so much for him, but only a small bit.

I thought that when Everton got about £9m for James McFadden that it was the best business the club had ever done, or likely to do. I’m glad to be proven wrong. That said, I can confidently state that the club will NEVER do a deal as good as this, £20m. Jesus wept. Doubles all round in the boardroom tonight.
