Next season we’ll only need the stadium. Players would be nice, but I think the plan is to assume the stadium will intimidate the opposition into scoring own goals.
Ha ha. I do think some of our fans also think the new stadium will be a magical goals and results generating arena as well. You could put me in the Royal Albert Hall but I don't think I'll suddenly turn into Percy Plant in 1970!

Our medical department seems to constantly be doing this game of avoiding the surgery and then it becomes obvious it's necessary.

Isn't this what they did to Dom?
Yeah it was a small thing for a while until it wasn't.

I sort of get avoiding the surgery but after a month the surgery is basically repeating the injury artificially before attempting to fix it ffs

In an ideal world, you would want to avoid surgery if possible, especially knee surgery. The only thing still missing for me from our medical team is more transparency with recovery time etc...

Dec 14:
'Unfortunately, he's been carrying a bit of a knee [injury]. Hopefully, nothing too serious, but it flared up in the week.'
Dec 20:
'Dwight is touch and go, he's got a niggly knee and we're being careful with it, but we'll have to wait and see.'
Dec 22:
'He's still settling his knee down, we don't think it's too drastic. We know we'll have to perform well against a good side in Chelsea. They're a good outfit, we've seen that. Look at their league position.'
Dec 23:
'Dwight is still touch-and-go. We hope it will settle down, probably not for this one, but sooner rather than later.'
Dec 27:
'We’ll have to wait and see. It’s still a touch-and-go scenario with these games coming thick and fast, so it’s a maybe at the moment as to whether Dwight makes it.'
Jan 02:
'A doubt for the weekend. It's settling but getting it to that final moment when he can join in again has been a bit trickier than we thought.'
Jan 07:
'Dwight won't make it this week. We're waiting on more news on that. It seems to be taking a long time to settle down.'
Jan 13:
'Dwight is not [available]. He’s got a little bit of an ongoing knee issue, as far as I know.'
Jan 17:
'Dwight isn't too far away; we're just waiting for more information.'
Jan 24:
'It looks like Dwight may need some surgery on his knee. We’ll have to get him back to the specialist to see. He may decide [on] something else... The general feeling [from the medical team] is that they don't think it's anything so bad - it's not like he's got a cruciate or anything - so hopefully he'll be OK.'
Jan 31:
'Dwight has had a minor surgery. I've just spoken to him as I've walked into the press conference. Hopefully, that has now sorted out his injury, which was a little bit difficult to diagnose.'

Grim honestly. Took a full month from "he's almost ready to start lads" to have the surgery anyway.

Absolutely pathetic. Our medical department needs a serious focus ASAP.

Yeah for me McNeil is just a squad player for us IF we are trying to move the club onwards. Same goes for Mykolenko and a few others, when we get to that point you know we've improved
We have to actually see McNeil in this team before we can come to that conclusion. We have seen Myko in this team and he is about the same he was at his best so I'd agree with you. Dwight actually has some ability and a left foot even if he is lacking for pace. Myko is just not much of a footballer and not much of an athlete.

And also I do not see us selling either. I doubt anyone will buy Myko

On the other hand, 10th most through balls per game while playing under Dyche is not bad going.

Be interesting to see him play under Moyes with the more aggressive forward passing/trying to let Beto run onto balls.

His stats were off the charts before his injury.

A team is built with balance and clubs like ours have to accept a mix of solidness with a bit of excellence hopefully. McNeill may be no Sheedy but he’s a good player, good delivery and some important goals.

What is it we think is out there that’s so much better and that we can attract?

He’ll thrive in this team with this manager I believe.

I am not so sure, I think you just might do so.

McNeil balls in the box and through balls in a team that’s allowed to attack (see our right back scoring diving header on a counter attack in open play) and with a striker that likes through balls?

I bet he can’t wait to get back out there
