You really shouldn't read into pre-season games. Like, at all.

I thought Coleman looked quite good though, and Duffy was impressive as ever. Barkley's goal was very well worked but we lacked the creativity to break down a feisty Dundee for the most part.

Junior didn't get too involved but his control was sublime. I'm really impressed although still unsure as to what kind of player he actually is.

Thanks to the Everton fans for turning up in numbers. Friends, we hope you all enjoyed your time in Dundee. Good luck for the season #P2BAA

Thought Cisco Jr was having an impressive game before he was hauled off. Comfortable picking it and and stroking it about but he doesn't looking all that threatening going forward in all honesty. The turn he made in the first half was sublime though, and his tracking back/tackling was good too.

Toccy dont rate him. I cant fathom that, tbh.

Decent little workout, Coleman and Duffy both put in good shifts.

Anichebe was same old, same old. Whenever he lost possession he'd stop, sulk and wave his arms in frustration. Not what I want to see from an Everton player, even in a friendly game.

The battle for the centre back positions should be really interesting next season.

Duffy has looked very impressive these past two games, Heitinga, although having a poor Euro's was player of the season last year, Distin is well, Distin, and Jags was looking pretty solid towards the back end of last year.

Wasn't Toccy one of those who didn't rate Fellaini originally?

Even the most knowledgeable make mistakes!

I'm no expert myself like but Duffy has impressed me every time I've seen him. When you consider his physical assets and the way that mentally, he seems unaffected and not at all intimidated, you really can't write him off as he's only 20. He's got years and years ahead of him and already he's not looked out of his depth, and for a very young CB that is a fantastic sign.

And lest not forget he almost died on the pitch a few years back, he's one strong lad, both mentally and physically.

Duffy seems very solid in the air and great at the last ditch stuff, but his distribution is at times poor.
