Wouldnt suprise me acatually , can hear the Chairmans emotional speech now , on how it was so the right time and decision for everton football club etc

Too soon for Big Dunc to manage us, needs to cut his teeth somewhere else first, see how he gets on?!. IF Moyesy was to call it a day at us at the end of the season, and IF he was still managerless in the summer, which i doubt, i'd give Nigel Adkins a chance!.

Always rated him since his Scunny days where he worked wonders there and then he went to Southampton and did the same and he was just getting Southampton'a act together and he gets the boot!. Ridiculous decision but there chairman is known for that after sacking Pardew whilst Southampton were doing well in league 1 and on the back of a 4 nil win!.

Only thing is, i think Adkins is a kopite?!. Would that matter to Evertonians?!.

I'm not sure whether Dunc would want the spotlight and the responsibility. He seems to have enjoyed living in anonymity abroad and learning the ropes at grassroots level. I think he's a long, long way from being ready to manage in the Premier League anyway. And then you wonder whether it might damage his legend like Shearer at Newcastle and Dalglish's latter stints across the park.

When Moyes does eventually go I imagine that he will recommend his own successor just as Smith did with Moyes. I think Stuart McCall from Motherwell could be a reasonable shout.
