Duncan Ferguson's coaching role

No idea what’s going on.
Dunc seems to be raising his profile of late. With Moyes' future looking sketchy would he be the perfect fit for Bill. He is passionate about the club and more importantly would be cheap. Is he qualified or capable? I just wondered what people's thoughts are. Personally I'd like to see someone with experience and a proven track record but then who knows, Moyes didn't.

I doubt it, although he may go and cut his teeth elsewhere and eventually end up here. We need Moyes' replacement to be experienced. Ideally I'd want a European manager who has some fresh ideas that he's picked up in other leagues, but at the least we'd need someone who knew what it takes to win games in the prem.

We've always had pretty big name managers before Moyes. Regardless of what they did when they got here Walter Smith and Mike Walker had very good reputations before we got them.

.......Neville or Ferguson would be a hell of a gamble. In our posistion we will need a manager of proven ability in the transfer market and without investment it would be taking a chance to go down the untried route.

Dundee United are losing our manager in the summer. Might be a good place for Dunc to cut his managerial teeth.

What we're doing with Dunc is right though. Letting him learn his trade and get to grips with management in the youth team and I can see him either doing a long time coaching there or going and managing somewhere else before he will manage Everton.
Besides, if Moyes was to go and the next manager was one already at the club it would most likely be Alan Stubbs.

Let him manage some lower league club first, see how he gets on. I would say if he does a bit of a "di canio" and looks like he's ok to handle it then have a go on him!

In the future maybe, providing he's earned it. But not now, he's nowhere near ready and it would only tarnish his name at the club.

I'd love to see a proper Evertonian and ex player managing the team one day.

Staggers me that people would want Big Dunc as the manager, someone who openly doesn't love football, never fulfilled his potential as a player and generally did what the hell he wanted to do on the pitch regularly letting his teamates and club down and has no management experience what so ever.

Apart from that, he's ideal
