Drenthe the enigma

Drenthe is by far and away the most exciting player at the club. In a team of 11 when the other 10 players are so one dimensional (Maybe not Baines) if you can't accommodate one Royston Drenthe then you might as well pack up the whole club and go home.

To the OP, you're right, the man is an enigma and a MUST SIGN!!!!

We should be encouriging drenthe and not stifling him, moyes will soon knock the attacking instinct out of his game.
Imagine drenthe at somewhere like swansea he would be brilliant look what they have done to wayne routledge.

Spent most of the game on Saturday on his arse complainig....Was it just me who was shouting run with the effing ball , take him on ...only to see him stop and try to pass or fall over....fcuking frustrating....

I don't think expecting him to pay attention on free kicks and throw-ins is really that much to ask.

Moyes has probably told him to stop trying to beat players all the time

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Drenthe is far better on the right than the left. He should be starting ahead of Coleman every game on the right hand side and Pienaar should be teaming up with Baines on the left.

When Drenthe is played on the right he automatically loses the ability to cut inside onto his stronger foot and get a shot away, as he did against Fulham and QPR when he scored those belters.

Having him on the right would also hopefully mix up our attack, as we currently go down the left 9 times out of 10.

If we even have the remotest chance of signing him, we must make it happen.

I love the line in Risky Business where Tom Cruise's dad says "Princeton can use a guy like Joel."

Well Everton can use a guy like Drenthe.

Plus, he'll give GOT enough material to make our members go mental, bat**** bonkers, or crazy on a regular basis.
