Oh my word. Amazing first day even with all the rain. Not seen that much rain in years.
Back in my hotel room drying out. I don't envy anyone camping in their tent rafts.
Korn and Rammstein were unreal and Babymetal put on a hell of a show. Gutted to miss Alien Ant Farm, but it was one [Poor language removed] hell of a day.
£834.how much have you paid for the hotel for the festival?
the whole festival must have cost you a small fortune if your not camping
fair do's£834.
That includes 3 nights in the Hilton Hotel, VIP entry to the festival all weekend, shuttle buses to and from the hotel, guest area entry and probably more but I'm tired.
For me it's well worth it as I can dry off, have a hot shower, breakfast is included, all my possessions are safe in the hotel room, I'm not worried about anyone damaging my tent and I'm sleeping in a double bed, not on a floor.
the last time I went we only lasted till the sat the mud was too bad, we left everything tent, clothes whatever we couldn't carry. had to get towed out of car park, £10 by a tractor doing the rounds the aa and the rac wanted £50. the year before that was the same but we lasted the weekend.Oh my word. Amazing first day even with all the rain. Not seen that much rain in years.

My daughter is there, camping - seemed in good spirits this morning.....
I only live 4 miles away, it absolutely hammered down yesterday from 3pm, it's been warm and dry all day today but then the heavens opened about 8pm.....we can normally hear the music or at least the base, but it's been quiet tonight......I'm sure she'll enjoy it though, my daughter used to go and always had a good time......
