I take Downing in a heartbeat. Not a chance though. I have prepared myself about our financial situation. No big names only youth and championship gems which is just fine with me until we balance the books.

Always thought he was vastly overrated. However after watching recent performance for England coupled with what I've seen of him over the years, I've come to the conclusion he may be one of those players who needs good players around him to shine. Be interesting to see him with Arteta, Fellaini, Osman and dare I say it Donovan. With that midfield, we'd draw games with even more style than we have done this season

I'd agree with this he always cuts in from the Left, luckily Kyle Walker arriving gave us an extra dimension down the right hand side with their overlaps, before this I was always shocked how some left backs didnt realise exactly what he was going to do
