If your grandfather was put away for a serious crime, say noncing (I don't know you or your family, this is purely hypothetical), would you think it right that YOUR kids (again, hypothetical) were in any way abused or maligned for his transgressions? Harangued in the street, heckled on their way to school? Tarred with your grandfather's brush? Should your grandfather's wayward tendencies have any bearing on your children and the way they are perceived or accepted by the wider world whatsoever?
