Interesting article. China second in the table of WW2 deaths might surprise some.
I presume it includes figures from the Invasion of Manchuria (1931) and the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937) right up until 1945 and the armistice.

The fighting was intense throughout the entire period with the Kwangtung Army committing numerous atrocities: look at the Nanking massacre.

when the UK declared war on Germany didnt they recieve about 30 telegrams from various nations that night stating their unity. Amazing how people like banks paint WW2 narritives when the true message it sends is the complete opposite of their ethos

Not sure of the telegrams part, but the dominions quickly aligned with allies as did the French colonies. I also know the likes of Brazil and Cuba also fell into line.

What a loathsome remark by Aaron Banks.

The evacution at Dunkirk (which resulted in thousands of deaths, btw) was only possible because of the sacrifice of many French and British soldiers fighting together.
The evacuation of Dunkirk was made possible by the united action of the Royal Navy and the French Navy. The effect of the small boats was minimal but good for propoganda.
Read "Dunkirk - The Patriotic Myth" by Nicholas Harman.

The french practically sacrificed their whole forces so the British exp force could run away, it’s a myth Britain fought alone in 1939, and 1940

By 'we' they presumably mean U.S., France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia, India....?

If you are talking about liberating Luxembourg, then it was the Americans and no one else I believe....however if anyone wants to talk about a deliberate rudeness and set up to embarrass the U.K. and it’s Prime Minister, then I’d like to hear your views on its acceptability.......
