Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

You're oversimplifying and, on several occasions, exaggerating something that doesn't exist.

Nobody thinks all Trump supporters are racist. Nobody thinks Trump is akin to Hitler and is going to start death camps for Mexicans or whatever. These things are ridiculous and are ignoring the actual concerns people have.

The people who are genuinely upset about this in America have every right to be - they've just seen legitimacy given to extremist viewpoints. I'd personally try and imagine what it'd be like being a Muslim and walking around with a hijab in certain parts of America right now after that vote before telling them to 'carry on with life'.

This is precisely what has been said though Tubey, and I have friends and acquaintances who are of differing minorities, so no I don't need to do that. We talk and discuss, without getting offended, without crying because our views may differ. Through it all though we remain friends.

No you really do. You can get on with life, others can't without fearing for their safety. You should respect that view. It's not about political debate right now for many people, it's a core issue of safety. They have every right not to feel safe right now, as Moomins' link above shows.

Imagine, for example, being a Catholic living in England and your mother who lives abroad, worrying that because of the new PM she may never be able to come and visit you, bit weird...

But this is going on on both sides and it does not equate to 60 plus million people, no matter what our media might have us believe.

Again, nobody is saying it does, but the point is the views have been legitimised by the election of a US president who has proven racist views and misogynist tendencies.

The clips show a Trump voter getting beat for voting him.

It's social media, from the people. it's wrong, full of hate but you want to make excuses to hide your hatred of gay's and minorities.

You make baby Jesus cry.

Everybody has that right though Tubey, and you have to question why 60 plus million people are pissed off. These are the people that feel they have been forgotten about. But don't try labeling a group of people just because they voted for a guy you don't like, it's not because there a bunch of racists. For example my wife an Hispanic whose mother and father are from Chihuahua, Mexico, voted for Trump, why because that was her choice. She certainly isn't a racist and works with families from all over the world including Somalia, Syria, Iraq, China, and believe you me you have to have a lot of love for people to do what she does.

Historically both candidates have said things they should not have, even the Clinton's if you go back. Of course this doesn't make anything right, but lets not be fooled here.

For what feels like the millionth time... nobody is saying they are. Nobody.

What they're saying is that racism and misogyny has been legitimised by the election of a man who holds racist and misogynist views.

The "my best friend is black" excuse that you've just typed a variation of makes no difference - it doesn't matter what ethnicity your wife is, if she voted for Trump, she didn't prioritise saying no to a racist misogynist in being a US President.

Perhaps you could go and visit them. Immigration isn't a God given right. It's for a country to decide their own immigration policies. Whatever they may be.

never used this site before...

"Claim: A white man was beaten by a group of black people for voting Trump.

WHAT'S TRUE: Chicago police are investigating a battery incident involving a 50-year-old white male victim who was attacked by five black males and females.

WHAT'S FALSE: Police say the incident stemmed from a traffic altercation, not politics.

Origin:On 10 November 2016, conspiracy theory web site InfoWars posted a video of a white man being pushed and kicked by a group of younger African-American people. (The article bore the inflammatory headline, "SHOCK VIDEO: BLACK MOB VICIOUSLY BEATS WHITE TUMP VOTER.")

The roughly 30-second video shows an older white man in a blue sweatshirt getting pushed to the ground and kicked by the younger people, while several people can be heard off-camera accusing him of voting for Donald Trump:

A longer version of the video posted to Twitter is accompanied by the song "[Poor language removed] Donald Trump," and shows the man clinging to his car and being dragged as someone drives away in it.

Chicago police told us that officers responded to a battery call on 9 November 2016 in which the 50-year-old victim reported being battered in a traffic-related altercation involving three unidentified males and two females — one of whom drove away in the man's car. A spokeswoman told us:

Our Area North detectives are investigating. We’re aware of the video. The [incident] report has nothing political in nature. We forwarded the video to detectives, so they’re investigating.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital in good condition, she said.

The clip has since been shared by white supremacist publication The Daily Stormer with the following text:

"We are bringing back law and order to this country.
The age of the rabid monkey is closing.
Let them take to the streets for their last big hurrah.
Because in a couple of short months, America becomes Trumpland.
And in Trumpland, criminals are punished with swift brutality. And cops are immune from prosecution."

While it's clear the man in the video was assaulted, it seems from initial police reports that the assault stemmed from a traffic incident. Bystanders are heard taunting him for voting for Trump, but it's not clear from the video itself or the statements from police whether he did in fact say he voted for Trump, and if he did, whether that was the impetus for the attack.

It's also not clear, as some publications are claiming, that the battery suspects in the video were supporters of Trump's Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. One woman can be heard off camera asking, "Are you gonna pay for my [Poor language removed]?" which seems to align with the police statement that the fight stemmed from a traffic accident resulting in property damage.

Further, the racial undertones of some of the posts surrounding the video raises the possibility that the incident is being exploited in order to further enflame tensions on the heels of a charged and contentious election.

we should all be careful how we react to, and what we post from, social media. none of it is a neutral forum. there was a story about a muslim in louisiana, picked up by the washington post, who claimed to have had her headscarf ripped off while being racially abused. it later turned out she had fabricated the story.

the events in the film clip from Chicago are certainly serious, in and of themselves, but learning about the full context is critical. this too is being misused to fan the flames.

that said, that there has been a wave of episodes on "day one" is undeniable, and i know what it feels like to be concerned about family members.

the real test will be to see what day 10, 100, 365 and so on will look like.

Yet the Clinton foundation receives money from countries supporting human atrocities beyond belief, or where being gay will get thrown off a roof. Seriously you have a completely one sided view almost to the point of being blinded. Pick and choose Tubey, pick and choose.

So you are saying that all 60 million Trump voters are people that feel they have been forgotten about? You're labeling as well here BTW.

So what you are saying is that everything I read on the internet isn't true?

My world just crumbled a little.
