Most of the talk that offended people in these elections were simply political rhetoric. Trump played that biased media field geniusly. Democrats used probably 10 times more money in advertising than Trump camp did. Trump campaign outsmarted them all. But most importantly they knew what Ordinary peeps craved the most...change...jobs...law and order....end of the corruption....and this race crap that losing side is especially now trying to force feed is so sad and tells more about them selves.

It's a change and thats enough of reason for many people.

They voted for change 8 years ago.

Trump, in my opinion, is a maverick who has hit the jackpot. Fine and dandy. Thats life.

But he also has the exact same experience that you and I have on running a country. Let alone the USA.

Rhetoric is fine, sounds great, sells papers and web clicks. If that is what you want in the most powerful man in the world, (debatable these days maybe), the fine. My standards of public office are slightly higher.

Idaho’s four presidential electors say they have been getting harassing phone calls, emails and Facebook messages urging them to become “faithless electors” and not cast their votes for Donald Trump in the electoral college.

“A lot of ’em use bad, rough language,” said Layne Bangerter, one of the four electors. “Nothing I feel intimidated over. But we’re watching it very closely. They’ve got our home phone numbers, our cell numbers, our emails, our Facebook. We’re just getting an orchestrated barrage from the left.”

Idaho’s other three Trump electors are Jennifer Locke, of Coeur d’Alene, Caleb Lakey, of Kuna, and former state Sen. Melinda Smyser, R-Parma. “Caleb told me he had over 200 and something when he checked this morning,” Bangerter said.

Locke said, “It is concerning to me. It does feel like some level of intimidation.”

How about racism, sexism, Islamophobia, anti semitism, and white supremecy to name a few?

Ah, the blanket with which American liberals like to cover up the issue of class.

Never mind that poor white folk's life expectancy has gone down, that jobs now pay less and are far less secure, that they feel (probably correctly) that their children's lives will be worse than theirs were and that the vast majority of white folks weren't in any kind of position of power even when the US was a demonstrably racist state. They didn't vote for the candidate supported by the establishment, the media and almost all the banks because of white supremacy!

Keep saying it all you like, no decent-minded person is buying it. "Political rhetoric" has consequences. The non-white population of America are already feeling it, no matter how much you white people in Finland and England say they aren't.

Trump is a dangerous, racist sexual-predator demagogue who has never once shown even the slightest interest in the plight of the working class beyond his empty campaign promises.

Thats text book leftist propaganda if im perfectly honest. Black people and Latinos didnt buy it either...Suprisingly many of them saw through this social justice warrior crap and voted for Trump.

It tells its own story when people are voting for basically a blind change than continue with the same crap.

I don't think experience running a country really matters when you look at how experienced politicians Cameron, Blair, Thatcher, Obama, Bush have done.
Could Trump be any worse?? I don't think so...
I genuinely think he will have the American people's interest at heart and not the war mongering establishments.

America is fecked, that much is true. However I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Laugh at those who defend Trump to the hilt despite his team already fudging things so badly just a week into the transition. Cry that this is what is happening to a nation that we've so much in common with. Truth be told the same will happen to us in the UK too.
