Less than half of the Puerto Rico have access to clean water, only 5% have access to power and only one hospital out of 69 is fully operational and he spends his time dedicating a bloody golf trophy to them.

I suppose any that complain are just ingrates, at least he mentioned them unlike the US Virgin Islands.

Love that tweet: A whole new low to the meaning "the least he could do".. if it doesn't involve Trump making money (tax, health insurance etc) and building his business brand then he doesn't give a flying.....

What a president eh ?

That dude is one scary cat if he thinks that's gonna help. He plays golf whilst people have no access to clean water, food or power.

But the trophy is named after them though so all is good.

I think the main difference between PR and Texas / Florida is that PR was a disaster area before the hurricane hit it.

It also probably the vanguard of what the United States will look like, and how it will respond to climate change, should Republicans (and to a slighly less extent, centrist Democrats) continue to dominate its politics.

TBH I think centrist Democrats are much more likely to do a PR to the rest of the US than the Republicans are - at least with the GOP some people will recognize what they are doing and stand up to try and stop it, with a Clintonesque figure they just go along with things until the nightmare happens and suddenly more than half the country doesn't have safe drinking water.

Maybe. But so far the Republican version of "recognizing what they are doing and standing up to try and stop it" is Roy Moore and a bunch of incoherent 14-year-old Pepe avatars.

I would hope that after 2016, between Trump and the Bernie Bros (many of whom are of course women, homosexual, or 'of colour'), the toothpaste is now thoroughly out of the tube. But those in power wouldn't be there if they know how to play the game.

American liberal centrists should just unite already. They've been flirting with it in policy terms for so long. After all, what is Graham-Cassidy if not just the Clinton welfare reforms, only applied now to health care?

The Democratic-Republicans (or, more likely, given their respective competence and servility, just "the Republicans") could sweep the coveted Bloomberg vote with a rousing platform of: "Tax Cuts for the Rich: THIS TIME IT'S WOKE!"
