The biggest problem with Trump (aside from the rampant racism) isn’t that he’s incompetent (though he certainly is) nor that he has nowhere close to the breadth or depth of knowledge required for the job (though he certainly doesn’t).
It’s that he appears to have zero intellectual curiosity and absolutely no desire to learn any of the things he doesn’t know.
Take the healthcare debate/push. Anyone with half a brain could see he knew nothing about the intricacies of the US healthcare system (or any other healthcare system really). Now that isn’t great, but what’s even more concerning is that he couldn’t even be bothered to fake it. There’s a few key phrases that he could have learned to make it sound at first pass like he had half a clue.
Instead, on the rare occasions he spoke about it in public, he blathered a mixture of platitudes and utter nonsense, and (for just one example) didn’t even know the difference between life insurance and health insurance.
He is monumentally unsuite to and unqualified for the job, to a staggeringly dangerous level. I havent looked into this thread for a while, but anyone who still supports him either 1) hasn’t been paying attention, 2) is wilfully ignoring the evidence in front of their face to avoid having to admit they’re wrong, or 3) is every bit as oblivious as the man himself.
