Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Obama was personally and publicly attacked from the morning after his won the election. This is nothing new for the alternate side to politically attack the winner from the get-go.

You have a very short memory.

I must have. I remember being at a rather smart business club in Washington when he won, let's just say the atmosphere was not as feral as it was for Trump.......

Americans did not fight to defeat Nazism. Americans declared war on Japan because they bombed Pearl Harbor, Germany declared war on America because Japan was was ally, so America fought Germany. Britain was fighting Nazism two years before you got involved. Let's have it right at least.....

Wrong. Look at the Lend Lease Act, Roosevelt's actions well prior to Pearl Harbour to prepare the USA for war as he acknowledged he had to intervene. The only thing stopping him earlier was the domestic desire for isolationism after the brutality of WW1. Pearl Harbour was simply the trigger to a gun loaded long before.

I was in America when Obama was elected, and I remember both democrats and republicans telling me that they believed he would be a great president. There was optimism, everyone around the world wanted to be photographed with Obama, there was even an Obama effect for failing politicians to be seen with him. So no, there was not the same welcome to Trump and to deny otherwise is a bit silly.....
Big whoop. I was in America when Obama was elected. The right media attacked him. The average republican attacked him.

Hell, a guy from the office across from me burst in the morning after Obama's win and shouted:

"Y'ALL BETTER BUY YOUR GUNS NOW BECAUSE THAT MUSLIM ************ IS GONNA TAKE THEM ALL AWAY!" And that was a normally nice guy. But of course, he could only see a McCain win.

He also said the millions of Americans that died. Less than half a million Americans died. I'm not having a go at America, but at least try and get some historical facts correct......

Quite the insular view there basing the views of America on 'a rather smart business club in Washington'.

Not really the right place to get an actual feel the country had/has.
