Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

He's an idiot, but that strike was the correct course of action in my view. As long as it's a singular attack in specific response to the usage of chemical weaponry.

I do find it funny how Putin is pretending to be arsed about it though. Like he's got any problem whatsoever with his puppet in the White House.

Do you actually believe that Assad did the chemical attacks when he's on the verge of winning the war against the rebels ? How does using Sarin benefit him at this point ? I see no reason for his forces to use it.

There's hardly any motive at all. Plenty of questions not asked and conclusions jumped to...

There's loads of motive, mostly political. He's trying to resolve North Korea, the Chinese president is having dinner with him when he tells him what he has just done to Syria. He has sent out a message that a red line is a red line (unlike Obamas supposed red lines). He has informed Russia, China, North Korea and Iran that he won't be messed around with while doing it on the back of a sarin attack. He will get very few people disagreeing publicly with him......

I know there's plenty of motive for Trump, et al, I was meaning the Syrian Government.

Atrocity propaganda has played a major role in the pretext to wars throughout history. It's the job of the media to stir up the hatred, and not ask questions. A lot of historical atrocity propaganda (which lead to countries gaining public support for war) has turned out to be either false, or greatly exaggerated. I can't imagine that this case will be any different

There does seem to be a few questions that haven't been addressed about the chemical horror, I posted this on another thread on Wednesday:

Another perspective on the chemical horrors in Syria:
Jumping to conclusions; something is not adding up in Idlib chemical weapons attack

Yeah the fact that no one asks these questions, or is allowed to ask these questions, just adds to the feeling that there is an agenda (which is to drum up hate for a particular person, or group of people)

If we had an impartial media that asked questions then there would be less blood spilled. People in the UK mainstream media even admitted that UK involvement in the Iraq war probably wouldn't have happened, if they had asked questions, rather than push the propaganda. Yet the same thing happens again, and again....

Whether it justifies going to war is an entirely different question but surely hard to deny the Syrian & Russian government have commited atrocities in both Aleppo and elsewhere using both conventional and chemical weapons in the past?

It is a civil war, atrocities happen - the only difference is who carries them out. Blow up a bit of Mosul, or a Yemeni funeral, and it much is less of a deal than this is.
