Well, I'm sure Willy Wonker would have been a Republican, if not a Trump supporter.

Sadly, I think he will. Elections tend to be determined by economics. And despite the reasons that are obvious in the US, it’s true that prices are higher now than they were 5 years ago, and that’s what people feel in their pockets, and what determines people’s voting intentions.

Doesn’t seem to matter that he literally tried to coup the country after the last election. The guy tried to overthrow the democratic process and his supporters don’t care.

The actual events of the electoral slate scheme coup were not well reported or communicated in the US, and most voters are actually oblivious to the facts of the matter, or choose to ignore them.

I’d like to think the checks and balances will hold for the US over the next 4 years, but I wouldn’t bet my mortgage on it.

Dem vote down in South Texas. That's Hispanic country. What happens in South Texas doesn't stay in South Texas. It bodes well for Trump in regional swing states such as AZ and NV.

Black vote down in Philly and Pittsburgh. Again, this bodes well for the black vote to be down in nearby states too. These things rarely take place in a vacuum. If it's happening in PA it's likely happening in the likes of Wisc and Mich.

Oh, and as I said the other day; public opinion polls at this late stage are worthless. Most are either herding or hedging their bets. You may get the occasional accurate opinion poll out this week but we'll have no idea which ones they are until the election is done & dusted.
