If Trump wins Florida by +10 and the Sunbelt as it very strongly appears, I genuinely think the Democrats will have to run a Southerner like Clinton or Carter in 2028 to try to win those states back. The Sunbelt + Florida is the electoral college future. If the electorate seems very strong GOP in Florida + Sunbelt as it seems currently, the Democrats are so screwed unless they change up.
To add to that, most blue states have very low population growth in general compared to the Red states such as Florida, Texas and the rest of Sunbelt. Very much down to conservatives are much more likely to have more children and this has to be something worthy of macro-analysis by the Democrat think-tank for the future of American politics.

So let me understand what he's saying here? Lincoln should just have avoided a civil war by pandering to the confederate states and settling it by allowing them to retain their policies on slavery?
