I rarely use Facebook but I figured it might be a way to try to get the attention of some Trump voting friends of mine.
Yesterday I posted a link to the nazi boat at Eric Trumps boat parade in Florida. I wasn't overly mean. Said something along the lines of "you're not a nazi but you are voting for the same person the nazis are voting for, that should tell you something about that person".
Here's the first reply I got, copied and pasted word for word.

"Nazis lad don't know to many Trump's supporters gasing people but I do remember 3 left wing lunatics who tried to kill a former president and all the crazies freaking out because they failed lad if you don't want America to be great again just leave you have that option don't see anything wrong with wanting to made a great and not a communist country but if you can't communism move to Venezuela they have plenty of room now all there people are here living off me and you taxes"

More likely yeah. Problem is, anything political I post anywhere, they are the first to respond with stuff like this. It does them or their argument no favors and they get savaged by other posters but unfortunately giving them any attention is just putting gasoline on the fire. This person owns multiple guns and is a 2A nut. Welcome to America.

Yep

It's why I no longer even try to discuss anything with Trump supporters. From time to time I do try to engage with educated rich people that are just here for the taxes and deregulation, and I've had some small wins there. One guy in particular I know voted Biden in 2020 and hasn't looked back.

But for most of them? Yeah, it's a cult

Again, I think whilst this is a possibility it also ignores the very clear history of US politics and society that sees all four of those processes deliberately engineered by people within the US for their own domestic interests.

People are just waking up that much of Europe is pretty backwards when it comes to free speech and what you are allowed to exercise. Not to mention, once you say criticize the holocaust figures in many of these countries, you're getting chucked in prison. When Americans say we have the most "free country ", there is total substance and irrefutable evidence behind it and not bunch of patriotic delusions.
