I don't think it's outrageous to suggest Harris would have a honeymoon period with some initial excitement over the new nominee and consequently frothy poll numbers for her. Again, I don't think it's outrageous to suggest this excitement would soon wear off. Here's the Trump campaign memo. It's looks fairly accurate so far:

I mean that memo is not confident. It's a lost of excuses why they are doing badly, confident campaigns don't do that. They were also wrong about timing, Harris kept climbing and to the VP pick went very well. So a compendium of errors.

2022 is entirely on Trump. When people were bizarrely predicting a win it was on him. Yet when it goes wrong, it's not on him. That's the fallacy of the thick Trump weirdos. They are too dumb to even have basic levels of criticality, then get confused and angry when the inevitable happens and he doesn't win.

Trumps fans were predicting she would be terrible. She hasn't been. She has all the momentum. She's the fresh new candidate, it's unlikely that wears off any time pre November. Her leads just keeps growing.

If you'd have listened to me, instead of the panicked memos, or the pro Trump clowns trying to make out she's an unpopular candidate, you'd have been better informed weeks ago mate.

The memo is not confident; the memo says we are unchartered territory and that there is no precedence for the current situation. It can hardly be confident when we have zero similar examples to draw upon. However, it correctly predicted a Harris bounce but that the fundamentals hadn't changed. That the race would settle back down, which it appears to be doing.

Harris can deliver a speech from a teleprompter. That's about all she has proven so far. I think she may have a decent debate. Even an idiot can rehearse a number of zinger lines. However, it is my contention that she is no use in a longer campaign. That even a short three months campaign is probably too long for her.

I think you'll find that even much of the Harris poll bounce is response bias. Nominees don't actually improve their true poll standing during & after a convention. The voting public are generally stupid, but they are not as stupid as to suddenly support a candidate simply because they had a successful convention. It's merely the party faithful more inclined to respond to pollsters.

Im glad we agree the Republican Memo, from July sounds alarmed.

They predicted Harris declining, which didn't subsequently happen.

I think conference bounces can help. You underestimate Harris by the way, she is substantially better than Biden, who was on course to run Trump close.

That's the reality, the incumbent party gets a bounce close to the election. Obama did,.Trump did in 2020. Harris will get that bounce, from a position of being ahead already, and ahead of Hilary in key marginals. That's a very strong position.

As indicated previously, don't knows are going to break more easily to the moderate Harris, over the extreme and criminal Trump. That's his big issue. He's not far enough ahead, in fact he's not ahead at all. For a challenger, that is v bad territory.

I have noticed that he does do that sometimes.

It's probably because he's trying to sound angry in an attempt to get his followers riled up.

But most of the time, he just comes across like this:

Millions of hires! Which is actually kinda weird, given that Wal-Mart’s entire U.S. workforce is 1.6 million, and Exxon’s is 61,500. Did she hire all their employees?

Let’s not forget that the American economy lost 2.7 million jobs during Trump’s tenure, so did Ivanka’s valiant yet somehow unglamorous work randomly hiring other company’s workforce offset those numbers?

Obviously, this is all utter gibberish. Trump has stumbled far more, over the past few weeks, than President Joe Biden ever did, to wildly different media standards. Biden was never this bad:
