This isn't just a matter of exploiting existing divisions; it's about deliberately creating chaos and undermining social cohesion.

While it's easy to dismiss extreme views as confined to online echo chambers, the reality is that these online activities can and do spill over into real life, influencing public opinion and actions in significant ways.. The goal of these efforts is not merely to reflect the divisions but to deepen them, making it harder for Americans to find common ground.

Acknowledging this doesn't absolve anyone of their own biases or actions, but it does highlight the importance of being aware of external influences that are actively working to destabilise the country. That some seem oblivious to this is testament to how skilfully Russia have deployed these campaigns. The MAGA crew being a prime example.
