I don't know what's happened to a lot of people but they seem to be lost and looking for some sort of meaning, and latch on to the first huckster to come along. A fair few people listened to her and stopped paying bills, mortgages, so on. Now, years later they're being cut off and evicted. They rush onto her Telegram channel asking for emergency Royal assistance, only for her admins to delete the messages and block them so they can continue living off the donations of the others.
I don't know whether these numbers of people have always been this detached from reality and we're just hearing about it a lot more now, or if the internet truly did break the brains of a lot of people unequipped to deal with so much available information & misinformation.
