What gives a resident of the UK the right to protest about an election in another democratic country ?

Everyone has the right to protest about whatever they want. And if people choose to send out a message that they reject the values of a pu$sy-grabbing, racist president, and want to show solidarity with women and non-white people across the pond then so be it.

Working in a primary school, I have many, many female colleagues and there have been various conversations around the staff room table over the last few months regarding how Trump's election in some ways legitimises sexism and sexual assault, in much the same way that Brexit seemed to legitimise shouting abuse at non-white people in Britain.

Women around the world are mobilising in the face of this. They feel slightly uneasy about such a man being in such an influential position and want to make a grand statement.

I support them 100%.

I was always under the impression that women in this country and America have the same rights as men. They do suffer in the Middle East but don't mention that, is racist.
