Biden gets 81m votes, yet his official video channel only pulls in a handful of viewers, with the majority disliking the content and the comments being deactivated due to too much criticism.

Maybe it's Biden who'll be compared to Stalin or Mao.

Well I did see that Biden's recent speech to Congress had 26.9 million views overall, you can't only use Youtube figures to gauge how popular something is. Justin Bieber holds the record for the most Youtube views I believe yet few people would claim he's more popular globally than The Beatles/Elvis/Michael Jackson.

False equivalency. The 26.9m figure includes all TV ratings, which have no option for the viewer to feedback (i.e. via thumbs-up or commenting).

And using that same metric (Nielsen) Trump's 2020 State of the Union address got 37.1m viewers.

If we're gauging popularity by also including Nielsen ratings as well as social media, we objectively see Trump is clearly the more popular figure.

Except when the metric is votes...funny that.

Fair enough, I don't think that Trump was anywhere near as bad as Stalin or Mao, mainly because he got his arse handed to him before he could do as much damage as they did. Perhaps not the fairest of comparisons but my point still stands - people slow down for car crashes etc.

Yeah the only relevant metric is votes. And Trump got millions less than Biden. Which is why Trump will fade into obscurity. 109k upvotes is nothing in the Youtube world.

love him, hate him, or in my case neutrally fascinated by the push/pull of that love & hate: he is the most reported-on figure in world history, surpassing even Hitler. Caveat to that is his Presidency was around in an age where we have the most news/comment-possibilities than ever before, but it seems unlikely anyone else will be generating that kind of attention.

He is the kind of figure who, before even winning the Presidency, an established liberal mainstream newspaper can publish a video of his effigy being burnt while coolly reporting on its artistic quality:

Trump is either Emmanuel Goldstein or Big Brother: accompanied by two-minute (and the rest) Hate sessions from one half of society, while the other half love him with almost Jesus-like Fervour.

He pushed the vaccine development, so those deaths wouldn't have come from Covid.

He was relatively anti-war, even going on record criticising the war-hungry Military Industrial Complex, and firing hawk John Bolton. So unlikely he would've caused millions of deaths by senseless war.

The economy was doing well, with decent job figures for all, including the poverty-class. So unlikely there'd have been a starvation crisis.

Thanks for backing up my point that they are cultists who will negbomb anything lefty/biden related. You don't have to love someone to vote for them, most people are not particularly political and vote once every 4 years and then forget about politics. Lots of Trump fans cant do that because they are balls deep in the idea of him being the only person who can save America.

Not even remotely close to the level of worship surrounding Trump and I know you know that because you've already alluded to how unique Trump is in your previous posts.

Think you’re making the same mistake that many on the left in the Uk made with Corbyn. Thinking that social media engagement will directly translate or correlate to votes.

Corbyn was an immensely popular candidate online but lost twice. Majority of voters pay no interest in politics on social media.

Im fairly sure @dholliday is just after some bites, he's not stupid enough to think social media likes are reflective of voting intentions and I highly doubt he actually thinks the election was rigged and that screencaps are proof of this.
