For it to work, a common enemy has to be identified; Can be colour, can be religion, can be a trading bloc. Matters not what the driver is.

What better times. We are living in the best of better times. Leavers want to get on with allowing the U.K. to do it’s own thing, Remainers are terrified of the big bad world and just want to create a European Empire. No one longs for the past, I long for an even better future......

We were comparing the way Trump used the same tactics as those at the top of the Brexit campaign did to get their way. And once that message is absorbed, how it is nearly impossible to alter that mind set, or in many many cases, even debate it.

Indeed. But Brexiteers get called Racist for wanting to allow the RoW the same access process as the mostly white EU. Whereas Remainers don’t want the RoW to have the same access, but do want to allow unfettered full access from the white EU. How does that work exactly......

I think most remainders would be fine with both groups having the same access. You just want that similarity to happen by subtraction rather than addition.

It feels like continual little snide comments about people who voted for Brexit, and if there is any bad stuff going on anywhere then ‘Brexit’ immediately gets attached, followed by the usual racist/idiot comments. But if I’m being overly sensitive then I apologise...
