This isn’t just on Trump, none of the rest of the admin seem to be stepping up to fill the void
Trump has been giving a nod and a wink to political violence for years, openly admired tyrants and repeatedly said he wouldn’t commit to a peaceful transition of power if he lost.
Completely agree, he has a way of crafting a message that appeals to quite a wide range of people (an undoubted sill even if I ahbor it) and then there is cross mixing between them. I worry that now they are more together it will be easier for someone to step in for him (like Carlson) but not having him be able to run again would be a big relief.I was thinking about this the other day when the conversation on here turned to whether Trump is the 'Cause' or 'Symptom' of the current problems.
I'd add that he's also an 'enabler' and 'unifier'
"Stand down and stand by" for the Proud Boys, the "Good people on both sides" comments, pleading ignorance when it comes to the KKK and QAnon, his open disdain for BLM and the list goes on.
By courting and refusing to condemn these various groups he's empowered them and unified them under the MAGA banner.
White nationalists, right wing conspiracy nuts, the extreme end of the Christian fundamentalists and 2nd amendment cosplayers have all found a common ground with him.
That's why these right wing conspiracy theorists all seem to follow the same pattern these days.
Covid denial/Antivaxxers, Stop the steal, QAnon, global banking cartel/antisemitism-lite, Agenda 21 and the The Great Reset.
Ever noticed how many people who believe one of these things usually have the full house and believe the rest as well?
It's because these groups are mixing in the same circles now.
It's imperative that he is stopped from being able to run again for 2024. If he runs again, he keeps these groups unified and we see a continuation of the madness.
If he is stopped from being able to run again, these groups wont be of use to him and the narcissist in him will drop them like he's dropped everyone else who ceases to be of use to him. They'll fracture and turn on each other at that point, you'd expect.
