Megalomaniac FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Him for what he has done to your nation.
Ultimately, all Trump did is - probably unintentionally at first as his own world knowledge must be abysmal - is captialise on a feeling that was already there.
We saw it here with Brexit and over there with the 2016 election.
If people feel they are being ignored, or their issues do not matter, then they will latch onto somebody or something telling them that they do matter, or won't be ignored.
Calling them facists doesn't help, because they by and large won't be facists. However, those facist movements have now grown and grown and again they are just using/going to use the same tactics Trump did and still does. That us against them mentality. Us against the world.
Social media has done more damage than anything else. Everything is so polarised. You HAVE to be in one camp or the other - you can't just even appear to try and see both sides of the argument, or both sides just call you out.
It'd be extremely interesting if it wasn't so sad and volatile.
Social media has, in theory, made the world more connected than ever. In reality, it's just an algorythm-based echo chamber, or a place to prove what a good and righteous person you actually are (those black squares on Instagram back in June being the perfect example - the equivalent to BLM as 'clap for carers/heroes' is to the NHS).
