So just to clarify... if someone takes up arms (thereby breaking the law) to violently overthrow a Democratically elected government based on their own lies and misinformation... that gets your respect?
That was extremely loaded. So I will not dignify it with a response.

Most if not all the cabinet have resigned so can the 25th amendment be evoked ?
Ummmmm... Just thinking about this. He still has 13 days in office, and god only knows how much more damage he can do.

But, just hypothetically speaking, let's say that they invoke the 25th amendment and it goes down in history and on the record that Trump was mentally incompetent to hold office...
Now I'm just thinking out loud here: He leaves office and he starts getting indicted for a tonne of crimes, both state and federal.
If his defense team could prove that he has been mentally incompetent for ages, then they could have a pretty good case for an insanity plea!
Basically stating that he never had the mental competency to understand the consequences of his actions.
Amendment 25 would set a precedent, and his defense team would just have to prove that there has always been a pattern of this type of behavior.

Edit: Scratch that! They're circulating articles of impeachment in the house as we speak!

Trump is mentally unstable, even more right now, and he really is a danger to the US. He must be removed from office by the end of the day. I sure hope Pence has the bullocks to stand up for our country and do what's right. Invoking the 25th amendment will be the quickest way to remove him from office. Impeachment will take too long.

The 25th amendment still takes time. The 20th of January will come before the process is even over.

It will however, and please correct me of I'm wrong, take away the majority of his powers.

Does the 25th amendment mean 'unstable' or just 'unfit'?

Clarify for us 'murican folk.

I hope you guys are going to pull for rauiri77. Obviously got a perm ban from groucho as he had to step in but I do t know if he know r77 is a very level headed respected poster in these parts and does not deserve a permanent from CA. A d that's coming from me an adversary.

Hope you guys can get the word out. A permanent is not what everyone wants. This is his watering hole you may aswell ban him from the whole forum.

Organise.
