Ha ha. No mate. Facts. Feel free to rebut with facts.
No mate, opinion.
You're taking about the future, the only facts are taxes and death.
It's just your misguided opinion but hey, keep posting pictures of funny mugs if it makes you feel better

something up with my multi quoting but here's your post

"The very fact that you're asking the question tells me you have zero understanding of current race relations in this country. That you somehow think there are "hate crimes" happening with regularity on every street corner tells me again, you have zero knowledge of what's actually happening in this country. That you have zero idea of how Obama injected himself into race related issues rather than do what's best for all Americans rather than a racial or ideological group.

Furthermore, and the best part, is that continued "thinking" like yours will not only ensure Trump has eight years instead of just four, but that the democrats in our country (who love to point fingers and blame like you're doing now cause it's never their fault) will see continued loss of seats in the House, Senate, and state levels in the next two mid terms as well. Several Dem senators at real risk in 2018.

It's only gonna get better for us mate whether you like it or not and the best part is that Obama did such a wonderful job of destroying any chance the Dems had in elections going forward that Republicans and Conservatives are going to be in the drivers seat for quite awhile.

Only and ONLY when the Dems come up with a plan that isn't based on race, gender, or ideology, that they can pitch to the general public at large, then they'll have a chance at regaining some seats and some resemblance of power in Washington and across the country.

Those are the facts. You won't like them but dems da breaks. (See what I did there?)

Bill...not all 74 million voted for Clinton...stop being thick.

74 million people voted for someone besides Trump. He is only pandering to his base.

So far since the election he's been doing nothing but divide us further despite promises of 'uniting and bringing Americans together'. He's held rallies in not a single place where he lost. He's been tactless, childish, and a buffoon on twitter. His appointments are not those that would be the sort of appointments of someone who promises to be 'President for all Americans'.

If he continues down this road it will only energize the left.

For what it's worth, I don't see why people don't criticise Obama on the blatant open goal of foreign policy. That is where he was an unmitigated disaster. From Crimea to his "red lines" on Syria and complete lack of credibility on the world stage due to being a complete [Poor language removed] who had all the threat of a newborn kitten despite having the power behind him of a lion.

I never see anyone properly blast him for this, which is odd as he's been one of the worst US presidents for global security in modern history. It's a special kind of bad to be able to undo the victory of the Cold War almost single-handedly and give Russia everything and anything they need to achieve relevancy again.

Who's being thick. You're trying to make it out as if Stein or Johnson's votes somehow make a difference.

What do you think he's going to do Cheese? His base elected him. So now he's going to do what? Go against those who voted him into office.

Like I said before, you're placing your hope on things similar to what the Clinton campaign did and look where that got them.

He hasn't divided anyone. My opinion is that the democrats need to come up with something other than what I listed above as a platform or it's going to be years in the wilderness for them. There ain't going to be some magical re-energized left. They couldn't get Clinton in over arguably the worst Republican nominee in years but they'll get it done in two years and then four?

Obama said it best. "Elections have consequences." You think he's going to pick someone that you'd be ok with? Cause I guarantee someone you're "ok with" is not someone his base would be ok with.

Not buying it.

And it seems you've forgotten "Hope & Change." How did that turn out?

I'll be interested to see how Trump operates in that arena. Trump's a businessman and he's used to negotiating business deals. Now I know it's not the same as negotiating in foreign policy but my hope is that he makes this world a safer place and uses the USA power wisely. It looks like his picks for Secretary of State and Defense are the type of people who are interested in a safer world but are also aware of the threats around the globe.

Let's see how they do in office.

Then it would help your cause greatly with posts such above rather than making blanket statements such as "rise in hate crime."

How was that link laughably bad. What you must have meant to say is that "I don't agree with Sheriff Clarke." Right?

On the one hand during a public speech he claims he will be the President for all Americans...on the other his actions have proven otherwise.

Why wouldn't he go to places he lost and find out why? There is no need to rally his base when they've already elected the guy. Seems the prudent thing to do would be to reach across the aisle and try to gain support rather than piss those who oppose him off. His rhetoric is why the divide in this country is where it is. It will only continue to grow until he acts even half presidential.

I mean how thin is this guys skin when he goes after SNL for poking fun? It's a comedy show...they make fun of presidents...always have. He seemingly can't handle even the slightest of criticism without lashing out at those who would criticize. It's very unbecoming and frankly scares the crap out most Americans.

I find that only somewhat 'amusing' -

Disagree or don't know about Trump's proposals - 61%
Is Trump the right character to be President - 32% ish

Did these voters abstain?

Prioritise building a wall across the Mexican border - 21%!!!!

Did anyone see the Berlin Wall falling?

I'm only 'amused' because it's all too relevant, that in our political discourse/elections, there is little education as to 'how it all works'.
People on camera regarding Brexit, saying "I don't mind the French or Spanish living here, it's those from outside Europe".

Education needs to improve, regarding Politics and Economics, it should also be a core subject.

Turnout has been poor for a long time in this country. 2008 was the highest voter turnout since the 60's and it was only 58.2% turnout.

It is one of the many flaws of the electoral college.

If you live in California and are a conservative, why even bother? If you live in Alabama and are a liberal it's a waste of time.

It really isn't a waste of time, but many people feel their votes don't matter because it's a foregone conclusion which way their state is going to vote.

There are flaws in any electoral system, the fact that people don't choose to vote is separate to that.
Sometimes, I feel that there is a 'pressure' to vote, as in "we live in a democracy (others don't), you've got to vote ffs".
Why though, if people don't think their vote affects anything?
Fundamentally, if people were taught, from an early age, what it means to be able to vote (accompanied by some basic learning re poltics and economics etc), then maybe there would be a more informed choice?

Perhaps. Back in the 1800's a bad turnout would be in the low 70%'s and highs would be well into the 80%'s. Mind you not everyone had the right to vote back then.

That said I agree that education would be useful. It would be nice if there were more places to find neutral information, but sadly that's not what people want. They seek sources that affirm their view. More and more social media and slanted news is affecting voters. Trump himself hardly said a shred of truth throughout the campaign, and after the election. It just doesn't matter to so many.

Ultimately, voter turnout is a problem. So many just can't be bothered....or don't want to be bothered.

I do agree that voters who feel their vote doesn't matter is a major problem. I disagree that our electoral system isn't at least part of that problem.
