New York State. Beyond the reach of any federal pardon. Boatloads of potential charges for money laundering, fraud etc, not only for Trump himself but also for the Trump Org, Trump Foundation (if their settlement on civil charges doesn’t insulate them from criminal), and even the kids.

NY Attorney General Letitia James is smart and aggressive and ambitious for higher office. She would love to put Trump’s head on her wall snd I think she’s got more than enough.

Certainly POTUS should publicly advocate for following the laws and general statements of ..if laws are broken, people should be prosecuted, etc. However, a President should not weigh in on specific ongoing cases or tell the DOJ who to investigate....ie they should NOT do what Trump has done.

I do not want Biden publicly (or privately) telling the AG he should be going or not going after Trump. That is for the DOJ/FBI to investigate and decide.

We're STILL barreling down those tracks tho, especially if they don't win GA. They don't win that that POS McConnel is going to block every appointment so Biden can't even get his cabinet together much less everything else.

Fox News and its rightwing personalities are quickly abandoning him (which doesn't surprise me if they want to be seeing as a legitimate news outlet even though they are not) but because of it Trump and his cult of supporters are now turning to new right-wing media outlets promoting the falsehoods about the election that Trump still wants to hear. So sure their manipulating tactics continue to influence Trump supporter who no longer care about the truth, or facts, and are letting themselves believe whatever narrative is fed to them. It is a sad time in our country when a politician can so much power over people that are willing to be easily brainwashed.

That's right. Now that Trump has lost they are trying to change their image to one that is impartial when it was them, and their TV personalities, the ones that gave Trump the tools to indoctrinate his supporters the past four years.
 
If some sort of legitimate third party can’t emerge in the next 5-10 years here in the US, then I’ll be convinced it simply can’t happen. It just seems like the time is ripe for a group of moderates who aren’t full stop MAGA, but also aren’t of the Bernie/AOC progressive mindset to make real headway.

I don't think a third party will ever become a game changer in national politics until either the GOP or the Dems collapse, in which case it won't actually be a third party anymore.

They can have an impact at the local level, though, which is where they should focus their energies. Not much point in running a Green candidate for the presidency, especially when they nominate some charlatan like Jill Stein.
