I'm wary of telling people in a different country how to vote after the Guardian's disaster in 2000 of having some luvvies write to working folks in Ohio telling them how beastly the world thinks they are and what a rotter G W Bush was.

In normal circumstances I'd agree, and probably even now on a wide scale (like the Guardian article you're talking about). On a 1:1 basis though, and in THESE circumstances? Absolutely no issue with it tbh.

2. Do you believe that a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles running a global child sex-trafficking ring is plotting against President Donald Trump and that he is waging a secret war against them?

Sure, Russia interfered - by sharing a bunch of internet memes which were indistinguishable from those created by American voters, and which had no demonstrable effect on the outcome.

As with Q-Anon (Jeffrey Epstein, the Catholic Church), Pod Save America liberals started with elements of truth and concocted a spiraling, hysterical fantasy of formal collusion and Trump taking orders from the Kremlin, which falls apart at the slightest scrutiny yet which, just like Q-Anon, remains an object of faith for its disciples, no matter how often it is refuted (remember when Rachel Maddow claimed that Putin took out the power-grid in Vermont? Lol)

And, in common with Q-Anon, and indeed, all conspiracy theories, it is basically just a coping mechanism which soothes the beholder by positing a very simple explanation for an increasingly complex and bewildering world (a secret cabal of evil-doers) and absolves him/her of any responsibility for the state of American politics.
