Apologies if this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but the way in which he has behaved since the pandemic started - shaking hands, organizing mass gatherings, the opposition to masks even in his presence - suggests he thinks he cannot catch it.

Of course this is a bloke who was by his own admission a complete germophobe long before this pandemic hit, who was caught on TV throwing a wobbly because Mulvaney coughed in the same room as him. That he is now putting himself in harms way and getting away with it is deeply suspicious.

Interesting theory. Think it’s more likely he’s had it than the treatment option.

But then, there’s also the possibility that “denying the pandemic” seems like a good political strategy to get his base out and try to win the election.... Staying out of jail is a hell of a motivator.

Oddly enough, I was literally just thinking about that possibility when I read that he’s planning to go to Kenosha this week despite local politicians asking him not to. If he continues to just blatantly troll and pick at open racial wounds, it would be foolish to completely rule it out.

This is the most likely scenario.

I suspect the area has been thoroughly cleaned beforehand with mandatory hand washing etc. and only a small group with him for sustained periods.

Still, and it's a big still, his blasé attitude like @tsubaki mentioned is either stupidity, desire to appease the voters or he/they're confident he's safe.

Maybe a combination of both. Remember Johnson going around shaking hands with everyone, but he washed hands so it was safe - that didn't end well.
