I think the most important thing many of us both sides of the Atlantic have to get our heads around , I know it’s something I struggled with , is none of this stuff matters any more . Lies , rule breaking , cronyism , illegality , downright dishonesty, allying yourself with extreme nationalism and worse none of it matters .

100% Part of the problem is, those more rational right-minded folk have utterly failed to hold them to account. You only have to look on here to see them turning a blind eye to it all and start going on about Abbot and police figures or questioning the sanity of Biden. We have 2 people in power who don’t care about anyone but themselves.
It’s an absolute mess.
I’m not A huge James O’Brien fan but his analogy is politics has become a football team and it’s support whatever happens . I’d say for many it’s more like being a RS , people will defend the indefensible
A rather clever response to Trump's continuing war on imaginary-enemies...this time it is Canada and aluminum. And their response was any "Any American who buys a can of beer, a soda, a car or a bike will suffer." A raise on car and beer prices in the USA (no matter who is actually to blame) isn't gonna play well in the run-up to election.

But if Korea did more tests, you would find that their death rate per infection would fall too.
