In some ways, a highly contentious election that gets drawn out in the courts for several weeks might not be the worst thing, as it would give Trump less time to scorch the earth on his way out the door. As long as he clings to some hope of re-election, he might hesitate to fully burn it down, if that’s what you can call what he’s been doing for the past four years.
