But Biden's in geriatric decline...
I'll say again - this is the man the 'normal' politicians on both sides lost to in 2016. I hope to goodness some lessons have been learned.

I mean, it’s not really a cop out, it’s just a fact. That's a cop out. The man is a complete and utter moron, yet he won first the Republican nomination, and then the presidency. Neither should have given someone so clearly unfit for public office even a sniff. People are mocking him, understandably because he's an utter embarrassment, but as he beat those who would have been infinitely more suited to the job, I'm not sure there's much to be proud about there.
Or like he tried before. He said it very fast and we all simply missed the entire word"It's a Jewish Native American name. Not well-known by many, but true. The liberal media will never tell you this." - Kayleigh McEnany (any moment, I'm sure)
I mean, it’s not really a cop out, it’s just a fact.
Oh lessons need to be learned, and Clinton's campaign definitely made mistakes. But even WITH those mistakes, Trump doesn't win in 2016 on a level playing field. Which of course is not to say the playing field will be level in November either. If lessons aren't learned and the normal politicians carry on as normal, simply blaming their defeat to a cretin as dirty tricks, then I fear the autumn could be quite nasty.

But see, the fact is that - not for all 60m, but for a not insignificant portion of them - that is in fact just the case. There is a portion of the population who have looked at the absolute train wreck of the last few years, have looked at how manifestly unfit for the job he is and said "Yep, he's still my guy. Lock her up! Send them home. All Lives Matter. (etc etc). Where's my red hat?" Those people are past the point of being convinced that he is who he tells us every day that he is.Possibly not, but I fear the fact that over 60 million people voted for someone who can barely tie his own shoelaces is being wished away as an inconvenience, like we just need more non-deplorables than deplorables so they can know their place.

Right now, they just need to be beaten.
I don't disagree. Unfortunately there isn't time to do that healing between now and November (and even if there were, Trump would make it impossible)... so for now he and his "fans" just need beating.I'd be as happy as the next person if Biden wins this autumn. Heaven knows the world needs him to. The country seems a bit messed up though, and a lot of healing is required to fix that.
