I'm not sure about the grand jury case but the other case going to the lower courts for clarification seems to suggest that if Trump loses in November, the house can't pursue his records because they are pursuing the records of the president.
So he could be in a bind here.
If he wins in November, all his tax history is made available to the house, if he loses he can keep it hidden.

Yea, I think they can, but the consensus eems to be that after a new congress is sworn in, they'd have to start the subpoena process again, and, in order to avoid gridlock i'd imagine, they wouldn't bother if he's not POTUS, they'd leave criminal investigations to the courts.

Newsweek's no longer your father's Newsweek. Now it's not particularly reliable; it's had some fact-checking problems in recent years.

More generally, media sources are detailing Trump's current problems, which are pretty hectic in aggregate for an incumbent, but the sources I see certainly aren't counting him out. Even if he's got no chance today, he's got several months before the election to make himself some chances.

And golly, look at how passionate his base is.
