A lot of work to do though, it would be a mistake to assume this is just a Trump being a lunatic problem. American politics is fundamentally broken, and until the duopoly accept their role in it, it seems unlikely to improve.

Things are changing, very slowly. I'm always banging on about this but the way we vote is broken. Maine has ranked choice voting and hopefully Massachusetts will switch to it after this November. That should start a domino effect.
Also, I think it may be a plus that Biden is not some inspirational Obama type. It's not going to be easy to fix Trumps mess so it's preferable that there is not too much expectation on the shoulders of the POTUS.
His VP pick will be huge. I'm not sure he'll finish his first term if elected.

You’d think unlighted self interest would make them extend the $600 but appears not and I fear that will have a very hard impact on many individuals and the economy as a whole.

Things you can fix w/o the republicians, if and a big if, I don't think trump and/or the senate are killed off yet.

1. the bureaucracy - under Biden we aren't really going to hold corporations/banks under the same laws as the rest of us. IMO its one of the 2-3 biggest problems w/ this country (even if biden does find jesus and does a 180 on this issue he's getting pushback from the DNC - we aren't innocent here) but sure there are other things you can fix, all who serve under the exec branch.

2. give PR and DC statehood - more importantly you have to kill the filibuster to do this

3. we have federal civil rights laws, no new laws are needed, if cities aren't going to police themselves, don't be shy send in the feds.

I would like these things to happen, but realistically if we could accomplish 2 or the 3 I would be shocked and suprised.
