Things are changing, very slowly. I'm always banging on about this but the way we vote is broken. Maine has ranked choice voting and hopefully Massachusetts will switch to it after this November. That should start a domino effect.A lot of work to do though, it would be a mistake to assume this is just a Trump being a lunatic problem. American politics is fundamentally broken, and until the duopoly accept their role in it, it seems unlikely to improve.
Also, I think it may be a plus that Biden is not some inspirational Obama type. It's not going to be easy to fix Trumps mess so it's preferable that there is not too much expectation on the shoulders of the POTUS.
His VP pick will be huge. I'm not sure he'll finish his first term if elected.
