Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

TBF neither Kissinger or HTR had the opportunity to actually deal with the shocking state of affairs they look to call attention to. Bolton is a rat.

The worst thing about him is that he held back this stuff from the Meuller inquiry. His staff testified and he refused... Because he was saving it for a book. That's amazingly cynical.

Kissenger was the Secretary of State, the head of the US's diplomatic mission, he had ample opportunity deal with shortcomings as he saw them. In his debit column goes allowing the prolonging of the Vietnam war for 6 months in order to get Nixon elected then negotiating the Paris Accords to end it allowing Nixon to take credit. He is a vile person.

But then the messenger doesn't neccesarily take away from the message. All I'm arguing is that ignorance serves nobody and refusing to read something because of the person who wrote it is counter productive.

"I only read things I agree with by people who are saints"

Is a one way ticket to ignorance. Henry Kissenger is (was? He surely can't still be alive) a horrible person. His book on diplomacy is the best ever written on the subject. I don't imagine myself and Hugh Trevor Roper would find much to talk about but his work on the English Civil War is unsurpassed.
97, I know I was amazed.

Of all the ridiculous claims made about the chump, surely the one I heard this morning cannot be true.
By all accounts he didn't know that Britain was a nuclear power.

I'll give Capn' Chickenhawk the benefit of the doubt as far as the book goes. Tell all books don't sell well outside the beltway I'm sure he knows this. By remaining silent he would have made a lot more money while bouncing in between washington gigs, think tanks, lobbying for defense industries and appearing on fox (where he made 600K/year). Outside of finding a safe haven in what's left of the neocon wing of the Republician party he's burned all those bridges.

Plus skipping the inquiry, the book gets released a little closer to election day where its not drowned out by other news.

Can’t see that this book is gonna be revelatory.

It will likely reveal that Trump is a lying, stupid, ego-driven narcissist, who’s horribly out of his depth.

Think the jury has already come back on that one, with a unanimous verdict.

Sadly the American public are the jury, and the decision is far from unanimous.

It's funny that Trump is trying to sue to block the publication of that book on the grounds of national security. I don't think that note poses a national security issue given it is one of the more obvious statements ever made by someone in his administration. And the irony, of course, is that Trump himself is the biggest threat to national security, not some tell-all book by the odious Bolton.
He made the argument yesterday that any and all conversations had with him are classified, simply on the basis that he’s President. A claim which effectively creates a situation where the President can do/say whatever he wants and makes it a crime for anyone to let the rest of the world what’s going on. Very on brand for Trump.

You give him WAY more credit than he deserves. He doesn't know the difference between UK, Great Britain and England... so yeah, I'm pretty sure he has no idea we are a nuclear power.

Was Mein Kampf a real page turner do you know?

If it was unanimous he would have been impeached and convicted or would not be polling as he is in the election
