When ever someone says 'fam' I think of this

The Tory party elected him, not the British people.

Over the pond, the American people voted the Grand Wizard into office
right, the tories said this is our leader. To make him PM you have to vote for us. So the Brittish people voted tory and he became PM.
(edit: the british people had the chance to vote him out, you know what I mean)
It's a different system but dont think it exonerates you.

for some bizarre reason I’d totally wiped the last election out of my memory, how bizarre is that, you’re correct, I retract

It seems ages ago, but the UK was convulsed in the Brexit stuff. Parliament was constipated, and nothing was happening. Johnson offered a Brexit ticket, Labour had some weird half baked idea.

So enough folk either believed his bollocks, or, like me, just wanted the whole thing done, then see how the land lies then. I havnt the best memory like, but battling a virus was not bought up to my recollection.

Meanwhile, in the land of mezzrow...

The Washington Post reports three Republican officials confirmed to the news agency that Republicans have tentatively settled on Jacksonville as the new destination for the GOP premier festivities in August.

The report says at the latest, RNC aides are scrambling to determine whether Jacksonville has enough hotel rooms to accommodate the event, which typically kicks off the final stretch of the presidential campaign. It would take significant work to make the convention happen. Estimates show the event could draw 50,000 visitors.

The head of Visit Jacksonville believes the city could handle the crowds with 80,000 hotel rooms.

What could possibly go wrong? My local contacts in the police dept are like:

I mean... it couldn't be in a more appropriate place, let's be honest.

like I said fam, wasn’t voted in
I mean, this would be a more convincing argument if his government hadn't just won a historically large majority

Hadn't got to this when I wrote the above.

I can't really blame you for wanting to wipe that election from your mind. If wishing made it so.

The weirdest thing ever, literally had no recollection of a GE. I know I was balls deep in Brexit preparations, but still. Now it’s come back to my memory I can remember everything about the night as clear as day

bizarre
