As he’s storming off, you can see the bottom of a giant banner that says “America leads the world in testing”. With our country in the grips of an economic collapse, it’s ridiculous that our government is spending their resources (even if it’s probably only several hundred dollars) on having that signage specifically made for a press briefing that took over an hour to hammer home that exact point.
Also worth noting, while its true we lead the world in total tests, we’re WAAAAY down the list of tests per capita, which is what actually matters.

She was asking him why he was focused so much on testing when so many Americans were losing their lives. Not the greatest question to be fair, but all Trump needed to say was more testing gives us an accurate picture of the spread of the virus in this country and then we can make plans on how best to protect our citizens, or something like that. To go off on a tangent and say "ask China" is just utterly bizarre. It's in keeping with the rest of his presidency, mind.

It's funny because I actually kind of agree on the question. I don't have a problem with Trump comparing the response to other countries because that is what everyone is doing. I do have a problem with his dishonesty around the issue, but the concept itself isn't something to question imo.
But that also doesn't mean he should behave like a 4 year old. It was possible to respond in an articulate way. And it probably isn't a great idea when speaking to an Asian-American to start yelling about "CHY-NA" but racial sensitivity has never been his thing anyway.
