Biden is old, no where near as sharp as he used to be and prone to frustrated outbursts but he's a gazillion times more competent than Trump.
If debates do go ahead, I think a lot on the right are going to be shocked at how coherent he is.
They've been on a steady diet of exaggerated waffle leading them to believe that Biden is unable to string two words together.
Biden didn't excel in debates where he was trying to stand out from a crowd with similar policies. He got frustrated and annoyed.
When it comes to Trump debates, he'll be smart enough to know when to let Trump dig his own hole.

As for when/if he's elected, he'll put a good team around him. He'll speak from the teleprompter, his social media will be handled by staffers, he'll rarely speak off the cuff.
