I agree but with regard to the story i quoted... they shouldn’t have drunk aquarium cleaner, no one told them to drink aquarium cleaner, it’s basic common sense to not drink aquarium cleaner.

It is, but Trump is part of a milieu in the US that actively pushes things that defy basic common sense to a certain sector of society and has done for many years - look at Alex Jones selling drinks made from chicken bones for example, or the whole seed faith / prosperity gospel thing. If the President they love tells them that chloroquine is a cure, some of them are going to take it even if "it" includes things that only contains the word chloroquine.

Would be an interesting (read bloody scary!) constitutional issue from what I understand.

State governors have a lot of powers but there are federal offices/money flows within the states that Trump has control over.

In a Federal Democracy the states have rights that preclude the President. I mean legal marijuana is still not legal federally but states have rights to make their own laws.

The biggest problem of the structure of our Federal Democracy is that "We the People" is not representative in terms of voting power. A voter in California has far less power than a voter in Wyoming.

Somehow we have to find a way for all of the people to have equal power when they cast a vote.

Minority rules was never in the founder's plans.
