But he is going to get another term.
Democrats can't even get a proper candidate, they would.be better off going for Oprah Winfrey
Still no answers then? Thought not.

But to be fair, with cutting, well informed analysis like that... I probably shouldn’t be surprised.

His going to get another term in office.
Financially america hasn't been this well off since clinton
What's funny though is that people are simply looking at their 401k balance and saying "the economy is great". Rich people that can play the stock market with post-tax funds are saying "the economy is great", but there is less of that group than the 401k group.

If something happens to the market, be it coronavirus, housing bubble, a bolt of lightning, a meteor hitting a city, anything, it could have nothing to actually do with "the economy", those people will look at their 401k and say "hey, what happened to the economy"

Such a fickle lot

Thought it was childish personally. They both constantly have chances to be the bigger person and neither wants to take it. I’m more annoyed by our entire political system and the partisanship of everything by the day.
I get the frustration with the system but I'm 100% behind Pelosi on this.
The dems constantly get criticized for bringing a library book to a gun fight, so I've no problem with them fighting back like this.
She invited him in to her house, he refused a hand shake and proceeded to deliver an election rally rater than a SOTU address.
She's right, it's the least she could have done.

To be completely fair, the SOTU always has an element of that, regardless as who the president is. It’s what you get when you allow the president, as The Daily Show aptly said last night, “to conduct his own performance evaluation”. That said, last night took it into a territory I can’t remember any president ever even coming close to.

America is not financially well off, we're buried up to our necks in debt.
Trump took a good economy and juiced it by cutting corporate tax by 1/3.
At the same time he completely ignored the national debt.
Cut taxes and borrow to fill the void, any idiot can do that.
Give him 4 more years and wait till creditors come calling and he starts stripping public expenditure to keep the whole thing going.
We'll all go the same way as one of his casinos, or his airline, or his university or or...

Riddled the country with debt, sounds familiar to what labour did, spent all the money and left the next government in the crap

Completely agree.
I liked the way it was always some sort of dance where there was some sort of illusion of co-operation and national good.
Trump stripped all that away.

I am usually with that line of thinking, trying to keep to the high road and not get into the much with them, but that hasn't been working.

I think what happened in the impeachment trial was the last straw for many of us. I think there was something symbolic, not just therapeutic, in ripping up that disgusting "speech" given the trial, in which 45's lawyers and Senate lackeys ripped up the Constitution.

It's game on now
Fair enough if that’s how you feel. My point will be that it really appeals to the Dems existing base, but for those more on the fence it’s probably a bad look. I think most of the undecided folks just want an adult in charge and that’s not how that action is going to be perceived.
