I actually, for once, think the democrats are being quite clever here.
This impeachment process will take the media focus off their primary season, which is exactly what they want.
The old adage of "all publicity is good publicity" definitely doesn't apply to the American media and primaries.

0 Republicans voted in favor of it. I really don't have high hopes for this country the way they are just blatantly ignoring everything that is going on Trump.

I still think he wins the 2020 with a landslide tbh. But what do i know

he could win but I doubt it would be a landslide.
He won the electoral college by smething like 80k votes and lost the popular vote by 3 million.
I think, once the dem primary season is over, you'll see a much more united party than 2016. You'll see people like the Obamas come out and campaign hard. The democrats don't need to convince any trump voters, they just need to energize their base and get the under 30 vote out.
All the while, Trump will be whining about impeachment proceedings and frantically trying to juice the economy to help it limp over the line of his presidency before it's inevitable collapse. The fed rate cut yesterday doesn't seem to have eased concerns about the economic outlook.
The economy is doing well but at the end of the day, alot of the people who deserted Obama for Trump haven't seen any improvement in their circumstances.
For Trump to stand a chance of winning, he has to come out relatively unscathed from the impeachment trial while also drumming up the sympathy vote. He also has to avoid the kind of scandals that seem so be commonplace.

if the Dems persist with forcing Biden through, probably you are right
I dunno. Biden wouldn't drive up the younger voter numbers but he'd handily take Pennsylvania, he'd have a good shot in the other rust belt states and he could even swing the carolinas and Florida.
There'd be no blue wave or senate take over but he'd beat Trump because the electoral college system suits him better than the other leading dem candidates.

It doesn't matter. Trump will never peacefully accept defeat.

What a cheek the man has remarking on our election.
Let no one doubt that if Johnson and Brexit prevail The Donald is going to be all over our business like a bad hairpiece.

He is going to win very very bigly
To win big would require a big improvement over last time, when he lost the popular vote by 3 million, and he's not going to bigly improve over last time. His approval numbers have been cultish and static from the beginning.

that's the worrying part.
Although I think the main thing he wanted from running in 2016 was his own news channel to take a slice of the Fox news pie. I reckon he'll jump straight on to that train if he loses. It will involve keeping his base enraged and the country divided tho.
