I can't listen to him speak. I either need a summary or text. He's so poor at basic speech it makes me feel ill.I switched off after 10 minutes. I didn’t know he went on for nearly an hour.

I had a friend who supports him say he was similar to Einstein because Einstein even though a genius had issues talking in public lol.I can't listen to him speak. I either need a summary or text. He's so poor at basic speech it makes me feel ill.
Never liked the "real americans" moniker. Funny how that is used a lot by his base though when trying to win arguments even with fellow conservatives. When they run out of things to say that is.Yeah but he says it like it is! Says what real Americans are thinking!
His rabid purist supports lap that up though.Yeah but he says it like it is! Says what real Americans are thinking!
I'm obviously aware of that. Obama was in a the situation room when Bin Laden was killed. Trump may have been golfing. I was writing "credit" in the sense of "killed during the presidency" which is still true. Trump is incompetent and bashes the intelligence community and does not serve American interests, etc., etc., etc., but al-Baghdadi was killed while Trump was president. To some, he will be "credited" with his death. Just watch any Fox broadcast to see what I mean.No President deserves credit for these evil men being hunted and killed. What do any of them do? Other than sit there and say yes or no to the plan based on the intelligence passed to them.
The intelligence community and the military men and women deserve all the credit. The president's in these cases simply exaggerate their involvement to make themselves look good. Hollywood is too blame for that.
The irony off it all is the same man continually bashes the intelligence community and those are the very people who pass along these items for discussion and possible action.
Sorry I didn't mean to make it seem my post was about you. I was talking in general terms and seen as you brought up the subject matter I responded to you.I'm obviously aware of that. Interesting post James!Sorry I didn't mean to make it seem my post was about you. I was talking in general terms and seen as you brought up the subject matter I responded to you.
Was not directing it at you. From what I have seen you are clearly a better person and poster than that.
Actually what you just replied was sort of what I was going for but without mentioning that propaganda channel calling itself news.
I guess at least with Obama he made it less about him even if many of us on the right gave him no credit. It's funny to see the same giving Trump credit.
At least Obama speech was coherent and on par off what you would expect. Trump is all about himself and insane ramblings yet he's a stable genuis.
He is dumbing down the right and making them look like fools now. Sad so many of my fellow conservatives are happy to put up with it or defend him. Our party has accomplished nothing and largely Trumps only accomplishments were removing everything Obama did. Love him or hate him some of those were actually good.
Yet I keep reading on here that the left is the one that is screwed. That generalization is a sign that a) people dont understand US politics and/or b) they refuse to admit that their own party or the party on the right has serious issues and they are deflecting.

Interesting post James!
I actually think, had Clinton (whom I voted for) gotten in, she would definitely have been a one term president. The Democrats wouldn't have won the house in 2018 and by 2020 the GOP would control the legislative and executive branches.
So, for progressives like me, who voted for Obama on his progressive platform and got disillusioned at how he shifted to the center, maybe the silver lining in all of this is that we finally might get a progressive president.
On the other hand, I consider both Trumps SC picks to be stolen seats. Had Clinton got the job the whole Supreme court wouldn't be skewed to represent the minority.
Had Clinton won, we'd have the GOP about to take the legislative and executive branch and a fairly selected SC.
But she lost so it's the opposite.
And if we don't elect a progressive POTUS and go for Biden, all this Trump pain will seem like it was for nothing.
apologies for the ramble![]()
