Yes i honestly do.
Even though stats say the percentages of people simply walking across the open land is not as much as those coming in legally or via tunnels they still back his wall idea. From those i have spoken too on the subject who support him they see that as an absolute must and reasoning with them is fruitless.
It's been hard for me in the last couple of years. I don't pretend to be an overly intelligent person nor am i an expert on many things but too see people fall under the spell of a con man and listen to everything he says as if it's gospel is shocking and quite frankly appalling. I cannot back that.
It goes without logic and sense.
I always say to those fellow conservatives that want to argue that the wall is a must like this.... if i owned land and i wanted to put a border on it and someone came along and said you can spend 10k or 100k depending on how you build it or put it together. The 100k is a physical wall because well you know materials and hard physical labor whereas 10k is using computers and minimal equipment you would snap the hand off the person for the 10k. Obviously tech is not suitable in every case like livestock etc....
The mad thing is some of these people are blue collar hard hard working folk working in industries they know how much and how long things take and they still think it's better. How can you continue to discuss better solutions if the people who know better don't care or don't want to care.
Some good friends who do not see reason and sense. given their backgrounds and skills and bloody intelligence etc...
Then there are those you meet who are simpyl ignorant and they are generally supporters of him. Not that they are anyway inferior they are simply stubborn and change and new is not their thing. That to me is what is hogtying the GOP. They can make out that the left want to ruin things but how long will that last? they are ruining their party letting this guy lead them. It's toxic. Anyone that cannot see that on the right is turning a blind eye jsut to get one over on the left which is pathetic.
With a physical wall it shows something substantial especially to his base they see this like they see statues or our military something of substance they can point at and be proud off.
